It’s a NEW YEAR 🎉

So, I don’t ‘do' New Year resolutions as such (there are business things which I will try and do this year because I’m terrible a getting them done - testimonials etc) but, if you do, I hope you stick with it and it’ll be interesting to know what you’ve set yourself as a goal (you can reply to this email to let me know).

For some reason, this year feels different, and there is an amazing positive vibe from clients and suppliers which makes me think this year is going to be a great journey, no matter what craziness is going on around us. 🚀

Oh, and I had a few new Lego sets for Xmas, so expect some new Lego photos throughout the year, and no, I’m not going to grow up 😜

Marketing Predictions for 2025

In the rapidly evolving landscape of marketing, several innovative trends are emerging in 2025 that can provide valuable insights for your audience:

1. Hyper-Personalisation Powered by AI

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming how brands interact with consumers. By analysing vast amounts of data, AI enables businesses to deliver highly personalised content and product recommendations, enhancing customer engagement and loyalty. This approach allows for real-time customisation of marketing messages, ensuring they resonate with individual preferences and behaviours.

2. The Rise of Live Shopping Experiences

Live shopping, particularly on platforms like TikTok, has gained significant traction. Brands are leveraging live streaming to showcase products, interact with consumers in real-time, and drive immediate sales. This dynamic approach combines entertainment with commerce, creating an engaging shopping experience that appeals to modern consumers.

3. Integration of AI in Marketing Analytics

AI is not only enhancing personalisation but also revolutionising marketing analytics. By utilising AI-driven tools, marketers can gain deeper insights into consumer behaviour, predict future trends, and make data-driven decisions. This leads to more effective strategies and a better understanding of return on investment.

4. Emphasis on Authenticity and Transparency

Consumers are increasingly valuing authenticity and transparency from brands. Building trust through genuine storytelling, transparent business practices, and engaging with social causes resonates with audiences. This approach fosters deeper connections and brand loyalty.

5. The Evolution of Audio Marketing

Audio marketing is experiencing a resurgence, with podcasts and audio advertisements becoming integral to marketing strategies. The intimate nature of audio content allows brands to connect with audiences on a personal level, and the convenience of audio consumption fits seamlessly into consumers’ busy lives.

By staying informed about these trends, businesses can adapt their strategies to meet evolving consumer expectations and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

I got to play with a portable smoke machine.

I’m not sure if I wanted to play with the smoke machine or the lego I used for the b-roll that showed it off 🤔

This is something I will use in product photography when previously, I used a massive commercial smoke machine that was a bit of a pain to control and get just the right look when working on a small scale, it was amazing for a large fashion shoot and still will be, but this little device will give me the flexibility to keep the creativity flowing.

This month's Landscape

'Jurassic'

Obviously, this image isn’t entirely real!

So, the story behind this image and the others if you click and look at them is that during lockdown, I wasn’t going out and creating new landscapes, so instead I decided to re-edit some existing ones which I didn’t think, made the cut in their own right and see if I could make them stand out.

So this image has had the sky replaced from a daytime blue sky to an evening starry night with an alien moon rising in the background. The rest of the image has been edited to give a Jurassic feel, and I like that I get the feeling a Diplodocus could come walking along at any minute. 🦕

Oh, another favourite product photo!

This was a fun and wet shoot and somewhere on the internet (probably my YouTube channel and my website 🤔) there is a video of this creation being done in camera.

Now, I did have to edit one of the crown drops in, as trying to get all three at the same time was proving impossible (or I didn’t have the patience, I’ll let you decide 😜)
